Create, Bake, Grow & Gather Link Party #256
MARCH 24, 2017 BY 1 COMMENT
Welcome friends!
Do you love homemade, home baked,
home grown and all things gathered?
Then please join us each week for…
Wow… lots of lovely Easter and springtime links this week.
I’ve pinned lots of these fabulous projects to the Create, Bake, Grow and Gather party board on Pinterest this week.
How adorable is this 6th birthday party that Alexandra put together for her daughter at Prairie Charm. Little Ninka chose everything… right down to the birthday cake made of pancakes, strawberries and maple syrup!
Danielle’s watercolor art is truly beautiful and this week on Finding Silver Pennies she shared 4 versions of this lovely free printable. I love nests for spring decor!
You won’t believe how easy it is to make Vesna’s Easter basket.
I can think of so many other uses for it too, so putting it on my crafting To-Do list. Get the full tutorial at Home Chic Club.
These Marshmallow Flower Cupcakes are so perfect for Spring!!
Pop over to Rosemary & Thyme to get Janet’s delicious tutorial for making the flowers.
Everyone loves seeing Ladybugs in their garden in Spring.
How cute are these painted Ladybugs at Miss Hall?
If you’ve got projects you’ve made my hand, designed, baked or grown, this is the perfect place to share it with others…. and what about the gathered? Creative folk love to gather too, so don’t forget to share all your gorgeous thrifted, collected vintage, up-cycled and made-over projects as well.

Welcome friends,
Do you love homemade, home baked,
home grown and all things gathered?
Then please join me each week for…
I greatly appreciate your support of this new party theme and our homemade community.
This week on Shabby Art Boutique I shared 2 homemade projects…
my foxie ladies and free printable Easter tags.
If you’d like to help get the word out about our weekly link up,
I’ve provided this small sidebar button and would be thrilled if you can add it to your post or sidebar and link to http://shabbyartboutique.com
It may take a few weeks to gather momentum with our link-ups, so I hope you will stick around and be inspired by all the homemade loveliness.
Don’t forget, I’ll be looking for features for the Create, Bake, Grow & Gather magazine and will be pinning to the party board on Pinterest too!
Here’s what inspired me at this weeks party…..
Jacqueline’s gorgeous spring tablescapes at
Cabin and Cottage are pure eye candy!
The lost art of handmade handkerchiefs is being preserved
by Jes at Strangers and Pilgrims on Earth.
Vesna likes to use natural products for herself and her home and shared this homemade recipe for her all natural body scrub on Home Chic Club this week.
I always enjoy a wander through Su’s beautiful home at Butterfly and Bungalow.
This week she has a few new things… including this lovely canape sofa.
At Apple Street Cottage, Ann shared her recipe for Minestrone Soup…
which just happens to be my favourite soup. I’ve not made it like this before, so will be trying this recipe out.

6 DIY Mother's Day Gifts That Look Expensive, And Are Ridiculously Easy To Make
With Mother's Day fast approaching, it's time to start thinking about how you'll show mom just how much you love her. It's always more fun to go the homemade route — which is why our friends at Hometalk have rounded up six amazing DIY Mother's Day gifts that are way more personalized and heartfelt than the flowers you end up sending last minute every year. Get started now, and be all set for when the big day arrives.
Weren't the old days great, when a Mother’s Day gift meant a colorful, melted plastic cup stuck to a pin that you made in preschool? How about those macaroni necklaces that she couldn't have looked more thrilled to receive? Back then, there was no worrying what she would like, or stressing about prices — there was only pride and pleasure to be giving your beloved mom a gift that celebrated how amazing she was.
Today, most people opt for flowers. No one is at fault here — flowers are pretty, everyone likes them, and they don’t break the bank. But instead of giving your mom the usual token of gratitude, this year, dare to be original and make your Mother’s Day gift yourself. Don’t worry, it won’t turn out like that macaroni necklace your mom says she still has but never wears — these Mother’s Day gifts look like they've been ordered from a high-end home goods catalog, but they've got that special personal touch.

~Merry Christmas and Simple & Sweet Fridays #199~
Merry Christmas Everyone!
I'm sure you all have been very busy shopping, wrapping presents
and baking for Christmas!!
I wanted to share with you a project I made,
a Christmas Snow Globe.
I'll show you how I made it,
but first some photos of our
HOLIDAY TABLE.
I decided to use a red and white table runner
I bought at the World Market Cost Plus.
I love using red and white with our newly painted table and chairs.
I'll share with you the project in the new year.
A snow scene in the center of the table with branches and glittered pinecones. I used my red goblets at each table setting.
I also displayed miniature Christmas trees and little pick-up trucks all around the centerpiece.
I used my Villeroy & Boch dishes.
I love the winter scenes on them.
The design is Naif.
I've been saving all my Bonne Maman jelly jars.
I knew I wanted to use them for something for Christmas.
The perfect idea came to me.
Display a little winter scene in them and place a name tag on the outside of the lid.
I love how they turned out.
I put out my Bistro de Paris dishes to display candies on
and we'll use them later for a very special Christmas cake.
I love how the look I wanted ties in with our green Christmas tree.
I think I baked enough Christmas cookies this year!
Special gnome cookies, a pretty owl box with match sticks and
Handmade Christmas Tags
I wanted to share with you a craft I brought to
a Christmas party
to make with some girlfriends.
~A Snow Globe~
I found the little miniature houses and round vases at Hobby Lobby.
I also found cardboard ornaments
which I cut circle paper to glue down for the bottom.
I bought different glitter and embellishments
for the girls to pick from.
We brushed Aleene's Tacky Glue on the roofs of the house and then added glitter. We marked with a pencil where the house and tree would fit on the bottom with the globe.
I brought different colored beads to glue to the house and I made some Fimo clay candy canes.
Then hot glued down the tree and house to the paper.
We figured out about a tablespoon of snow for the globes.
No water in the globes at all,
Easy Peasy!!
Then turned the house upside down and
hot glued the glass dome to it.
It was a fun Christmas project!
Yuri's Christmas Table!!
So Beautiful!
All the girls snow globes turned out so pretty!
Our Family would love to wish you all a very
Merry Christmas!
Wishing you a wonderful holiday with family and friends!!

Before we begin, I've had several inquiries about the Vintage Board that currently sits on top of my piano. I showed it off in my post, Christmas in the Hearth Room.
It's from Mary & Martha. There are different sets of tiles to choose from. These tiles slide in and out on the side. Click here to order the vintage board and two sets of hymn tiles. Show and Share No. 293
It's here!!
Yes...it's Christmas week and are you ready? I'm not, but I will be! This has not been a normal Christmas season for us this year. I was super late decorating our home for the holidays, other things just kept getting in the way. We were finishing up our family room makeover, business at the shop has been very busy (best ever), we expanded to a second location for Coastal Charm Interiors and now we have just finished installing shiplap and painting at our beach home. I know last week that I said I would have a holiday home tour up and running, but sorry y'all, it just didn't happen. I am back home now, so maybe it will happen before Friday, if not, I can always start something new and do a holiday home tour after 12/25 (it's okay to be different...right?). Since all of you do have some awesome holiday ideas to share, let's get this party started!

New Foyer=New Tree!!
I really did deck our halls this year.

Make it Pretty Monday - Week 159
Hello World! Well, here we are in the midst of the Christmas season! Have you finished putting up your Christmas decorations or are you beginning the process? One thing I know, somehow, it all gets done. On a side note, I found a skinny Christmas tree that doesn't resemble Charlie Brown's cute, little tree. I have time scheduled this week to take pictures of the new tree, but I must finish decorating it first. Which, of course requires a trip to Hobby Lobby! Goodness, one thing begets another! On to the party!

Glamour Girl
What's It Wednesday #181
Do you love glamour and glitz? Old world elegance and charm? Me too! I've loved these florentine chests for so long, and I finally found one! It's worn and aged in all the right places, and that gold gilt gives a bit of Parisienne flair.
From its undulating crown
to its glass front and sides. It's a gilded treasure chest!
Each of the glass shelves is crammed with girly goodies,
towels and scents,
and of course
some vintage toiletries for sparkle and shine!
Check out her curvaceous bottom and sexy legs! Three roomy drawers for plenty of storage space.
I just love her! She's my Glamour Girl!
Hugs,
Patti

Home Chic Club on Hometalk
Early this August I received a mail from Liz, Community Manager on Hometalk. I was at the same time surprised and very happy, because responsible people on Hometalk very liked my post Beach themed dining room and news, and the way I use this topic in my dining room. I got an offer to be the curator of a clipboard on Hometalk, which is inspired by the beach theme as style of decoration. Liz told me that Hometalk will be featured it and published in its newsletter. After a brief consultation with the Liz about the details, I made a clipboard called Beach Themed Home Decor, which you can find here. Satisfied with what I done, experts from Hometalk added to my board appropriate pinnable graphic and it looked just perfect! After I get the information from Liz that the clipboard is featured and published in their newsletter, I`ll be happy to add a link for those who are interested to see it. Happy Hometalking!!

Welcome
to
Home and Garden Thursday
If you live in the south you’re familiar with the three H’s – hazy, hot and humid. More time spent in the garden – I’m doing a better job of staying in one spot and getting the job done – otherwise I could be like a butterfly flitting from one thing to another, distracted and not able to see progress! I am getting pretty excited – I will be attending the Haven Conference next month – can’t wait to meet other bloggers and to learn – I’ll be sharing with you all when I’m back – well – still a few days away! But, I’m so excited!!!

But, I’m so excited!!!
Here’s what I shared with you since our last party:
I have been teaching myself the principles of creating a vignette – it’s quite interesting, especially learning to apply the Golden Ratio – I arranged this vignette two different ways – which one appeals to you most?
Continuing my practicing building vignettes, and because I found this great lamp at Goodwill – I share more on the Golden Ratio and three basic principles of vignettes – it’s fun!
Dearest and I worked in our garden a lot on Saturday-the first day of summer! I discovered some of my perennials suffered from last winter’s ice storm – especially my beloved La Marne rose and some annual Petunias showing stress from the summer’s heat and drought. I had to do some necessary pruning and gained some lessons from gardening at the same time.

Today is said to be a perfect day – it is quite gorgeous actually and the high should be around 77 degrees. I will be spending a lot of time outdoors! This weekend was wonderful – we had a very blessed Easter and wonderful time sharing with family – I hope you did too. As a result, things are a bit delayed – weekend recovery – the remnants of the wonderful weekend are everywhere and the house needs to be put back to rights. I am always delighted by the beautiful posts you share – I do appreciate you!

I’m on vacation! Well, a wee one with Dearest! It took me a while to get on the Internet! I appreciate you all joining in – have fun – I look forward to seeing what you have to share!
Dearest and I awake before the dawning of the sun. I hear the birds sing as if calling for the light to break, because when the first light does come, the become active and the chatter lessens. We’ve seen a Hummingbird, so I’m preparing the feeder! So delight in their swift, beautiful little bodies.

Is it Autumn already?! No, but here in Georgia it looks and feels like Autumn. I know it won’t last, but I am thoroughly enjoying the cooler temperatures. This has certainly been a year to go down in the book of records – weather-wise. I am still working in my kitchen – I gave myself so many projects for this room – seeing the transformation unfold is giving me encouragement and boosting me to keep going! It is so easy to dream and to plan – putting those dreams and plans into reality – is the hard part. I am getting up close and personal with the walls, floors and trims – seeing all the imperfections and making the best of them. There’s a thought – just like folks – we all have imperfections – we do what we can to improve on them and learn to live with what we can’t change.

I hope you all had a blessed Father’s Day. We surely did. We all gathered here for dinner enjoying one another’s company. Dearest and I are so thankful for our three children. It was a Delight to share the day with them, our Son-in-Law and my in-laws. I thank God for my Dear Husband – he’s a wonderful Godly man, husband and father.
Last week I shared with you my decision making process, the things I considered when I finally decided on and purchased my new DSLR camera.
I had a few brief hours Monday morning of sunlight – between rainshowers. I took advantage of the sweet, cool morning air and had tea beside the reseeded Morning Glory in my garden.

UDAR ROMANTIKE !!!
koliko god ih neko voleo ili ne,
ukoliko niste sujetni, želite da učite
od drugih, da delite iskustva
i upoznajete neke nove ljude.
Ovo je odlična prilika da se upoznate
sa bilo kojom vrstom kreativnosti
autora bloga, onih koji su na njegovoj
listi nagrađenih ili na listi koje prati.
Tako sam ja došla do bloga
HOME CHIC CLUB.
Odmah me je privukla totalna različitost.
Jednu
od mojih TOP 5 koja svojom ženstvenošću
i romantikom prosto preplavi svakog koji
poseti njen blog i...
emotivna, esteta, dobra kuvarica, neostvarena
operska diva, slikar amater i pomalo ostvareni pisac.
To su bile lepe, a sada ružne osobine. Ćudljiva, promenljivog
raspoloženja, nepoverljiva, često mrzovoljna i nepodnošljiva.
2. Kako je nastao blog HOME CHIC CLUB ?Blog je nastao prošle godine u proleće kada sam započela
transformaciju svog doma. Slikala sam sve faze promene,
I eto....
3. Šta te inspiriše ?
Inspirišu me lepota, kreativnost i nesvakidašnje ideje.
divnih ljudi, svašta naučila i dobila bezbroj
ideja, informacija i korisnih saveta.
HVALA VESNA !!!

Welcome
to
Home and Garden Thursday
I greatly appreciate you visiting, and hopefully participating today! Those of you who regularly share your posts with Home and Garden Thursday make the party wonderful and those of you who are new will find a marvelous, creative community.
If you follow your favorite blog through RSS feeds, you most likely use Google Reader, an excellent tool that sadly will be retired July 1, 2013. There are, thankfully a few options/alternatives available to us. Thankfully, some of those alternatives have seen the need with Google Reader’s retirement and are working to fill the need. Feedly is one of those options. This is one I have chosen to use — the terrific part is that since they’re working on meeting the Google Reader customers, they’ve enabled their product to automatically migrate your RSS feeds from Google Reader. This is wonderful, you don’t have to manually do this or figure out how. I shared with you some of this information and a few other RSS reader options.
On Monday, I spent the day doing some much needed shopping, but beforehand I stopped at the local Coffee Cafe for some tea, White Peony from Two Leaves and a Bud and Raspberry White Chocolate Scone. I also reflected on last year’s A Return to Loveliness posts in March, it is fantastic that through blogging, I am able to relive these moments.
While grocery shopping at Kroger Monday, I stopped at the floral section and found these gorgeous roses and lilies at clearance prices – the whole bouquet came to seven dollars! The lily’s fragrance is heavenly.
You all were amazing this past week – so many gorgeous posts! Here are the FEATURES from last week’s party:
Judy at JBigg’s Little Pieces put together the most charming and whimsical tablescape – all beautifully harmonized by the gorgeous tablecloth she found at Home Goods! Boy, do I wish there was a store near me! I adore her sweet bunnies – the sleeping one and the one holding the tulips, the dishes, glassware and silverware all come together to make a marvelous tablescape.
Shannon at A Cozy Place Called Home shared with us a step-by-step tutorial on how she created this gorgeous Easter Topiary – love the textured pot and the flowers! Beautifully done!
At Love Live Garden-A Guide to Garden Inspired Living, Nadia shared with us a unique Easter decor, sprouted wheat. Love the look – she gives you a step-by-step tutorial.
Our dear friend, The Tablescaper put together a gorgeous tablescape featuring vintage china from her mom, modern moss rabbits, frutal finds from The Christmas Tree Shop – all beautifully coming together to create a lovely, whimsical tablescape.
Vesna, at Home Chic Club shared this adorable Easter decor – love the tiered Easter decor using cups, bowls and plates as well as adorable chickens, bunnies and eggs – marvelously done!
Pam, at White Ironstone Cottage shared that she was happily doing some spring cleaning in her kitchen – wouldn’t you just LOVE to spring clean here! Gorgeous kitchen.
This cake by Janet at Rosemary and Thyme is just too beautiful to cut – but I am sure the heavenly aroma of the orange would be quite tempting. You can find the recipe for Orange Sour Cream Pound Cake atRosemary and Thyme
Thanks again for sharing with us, I do hope you have a blessed week and Easter weekend!
