Blush and Pink Spring Home Tour
Happy spring, friends! It`s my favorite time of the year for decorating and over the last couple of weeks I’ve been adding touches of spring in our house. I’m thrilled to share my home decorated for spring and hope you`ll like our Blush and Neutral Spring Home Tour!
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Like every year, I’ve kept my spring decor quite simple, but it makes such a refreshing impact. Simple and clean, with a “less is more” motto is always my style. Some pretty pastels along with the flowers and greenery and we’ve brought in spring!
My theme this year are the usual neutrals with a blush pink. I decided to add this popular color because it`s so liveable and pairs nicely with blue and all neutral colors in our home, including white, gray and black. Although I didn`t do that much, yet I have some fun updates to share with you which includes some new pillows, rugs and the big abstract art piece in our dining room (I`m the artist- can you believe!)
Starting in my entryway I added just a few white flowery branches and a gallery wall on the other side (you can see it here).
For my spring decor in the living room I’m all about simple, beautiful living. I added just fresh flowers to my coffee table and bar card, a little bunch of white carnations on side table, few blush pillows on our sofa and chair and a pink throw! These are simple, easy touches of spring freshness that we love!
Our mongolian fur stool are one of the best things I’ve ever had! I use it for extra seating, as a foot stool or side table. And it is just so pretty!
Love this blush double sided pillow! I find it in Ikea and immediately fell in love. So pretty and comfy on my "reading" chair!
This little ladder are also a new addition to the room. Pretty nice way to keep and display blankets and throws.
And here’s our spring dining room. As I mentioned at the beginning, we have some news here. First of is the rug, that I also find in Ikea. I wasn`t sure about it at first, but my son convinced me to buy it. It`s not the one I want, but it will do for now. Gray is a very forgiving color for the high traffic areas like this. Other novelty is this big art piece on the wall. I wanted something abstract and modern for this space and I painted this the other day. It came out pretty good, don`t you think?
Blush pink plates are also new and also from Ikea (this is not sponsored by Ikea, although I would love it is... ) and on top of them are small floral dessert plates that I have for a long time, along with my silhouette black and white Easter eggs - you can find more about them here.
On the kitchen island I have a try with a pink vase filled with fresh branches, small pitcher with white carnations and marble pounder.
Last, but not least is my kitchen. We did a total makeover here almost six years ago and I still love it. It is a small, but functional space with lot of storage and natural light. The only new thing here is a big farmhouse clock and a small striped Ikea rug. I try not to clutter my work space, so I just added a potted flowers.A bouquet of fresh greens, along with a bowl of freshly picked lemons and apples make the perfect centerpiece for the small cabinet.
Simple little things; like elements from nature, colorful textiles and fresh flowers, are my favorite things to decorate for spring. From our entryway, to the living and dining room and kitchen - there is always room for some refreshing spring decor! I hope you enjoyed our Blush and Neutral Spring Home Tour. All is Bright - Christmas Home Tour - Part 2
Hello sweet friends and welcome to part 2 of our home tour. If you missed the part 1 you can find it here.
I hope you had a beautiful weekend. If you are new here, a warm welcome to you. This little space of mine is where I share my love for creating, art and design. Today I`m sharing my kitchen and dining room. So please…come on in.
We haven’t had too much snow around here as yet. That’s changed today with the first snow of the season. A little, but it`s still the snow. I’m hopeful we’ll have more for Christmas.
As you can see I haven`t overly decorated the kitchen, because we love to cook and bake on a daily bases, so I just added some holiday mugs and dishes and a cloche full of ornaments. Of course, we have some cookies, galettes and a Christmas chocolate pretzel wreaths (delicious and so easy to make).
On the shelves I added a cute little red car with a Christmas tree and a fresh greenery. Also I put a fresh swag on my hood. Love the smell of fresh evergreens in the kitchen.
On the other side I have a cute little vignette with houses and bottle brush trees.
Now onto our first Christmas tree which I put in a champagne bucket this year. Behind is my DIY cotton pom pom garland (you can find more here), white ornament garland and cute stockings with gifts. Underneath the tree is a few more gifts.
This year I decided to use red and teal blue on the tree with white, of course.
This flocked tree is adorned with little houses, bells, hearts, berries...
birds, stars and pine cones.
On the left is my vintage secretary which I use to store my little collection of blue china. On top of it, I places more fresh greenery and a vase full of ornaments.
Now on to my second Christmas tree. Really small and cute tree in a wicker basket.
Next to the tree is a little snowy cottage with some bottle brush trees on a cake stand.
That lead us right to our dining room.
Real treat and a centerpiece for our table this year is this lovely gingerbread village I make the other day. I made five smaller and one bigger house, few Christmas trees and put them on a cake stand. Underneath the gingerbread houses is galettes as a base for my village. I dust everything with a powder sugar for snowy effect.
On the table I used two table runners, silver chargers and my favorite white and gold plates, white bowls, vintage silver cutlery and candlesticks.
On the mirror is my DIY fresh wreath (I will share tutorial on Thursday). Chandelier also has some new crystals and a few glass ornaments.
Small wreaths on the chairs makes us and our guests feel very special.
I really enjoy looking at twinkling lights on our Christmas tree in the mirror while eating dinner. So festive!

So there you have it…our little home, all dressed up for Christmas. I hope you enjoyed our tour and you were able to find some inspiration. And please remember, what’s most important about your holidays is not the beautiful home, but the memories you are making with your family and friends.
From my family to yours, I’d like to wish you a very Marry Christmas and a very Happy Holidays!

All is Bright - Christmas Home Tour 2016 - Part 1

All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace..."

Typically around Christmas time, my home explodes with decorations in just about every room because it truly is one of my favorite seasons of the year. I absolutely love setting up multiple trees around the home, hanging twinkling lights and creating Christmas vignettes.
As I said, Christmas time is truly my favorite time of the year. So, welcome to my Christmas home tour. This time I`ll share with you my entry and living room and next time my kitchen and dining room.
Having to set three Christmas trees and all the other decorations during one of the busiest times of the year was a crazy idea, but it had to get done. So I knew that in order to make this happen, I would need to work like crazy. And that’s exactly what I did. 💃
We got our Christmas decorations up a couple weeks ago but I find I always take a while to move things around and play until I’m happy (which is never, btw...).
Let`s get started with my entry! This is what you see from the living room. I draped this beautiful DIY live garland over my door with some frosted pine cones. It makes our view so much better and the scent of the fresh garland makes me so happy every time I come through the door.
Right as you walk in the front door you see our narrow but bright entry where I set a black iron shelf. Copper has been my color of choice this season for this part of our home, and I knew it would be the perfect addition to our entry. On the first shelf I added a NOEL sign, clock, glass ornaments, fresh greenery and a battery operated glass cloche.
On the second one I put this adorable snowman in a picture frame, my DIY arrow home sign, added candles and some more ornaments in a deer bowl and I was happy!
On the bottom shelf I add a deer pillow, faux present and my white scarf with tassels and finished it with some lovely frosted pine cones and miniature skies.
On the left side of the shelf you can see my giant DIY paper bag snowflakes (tutorial on this will be on the blog very soon), so cute and easy to make.
On the other side of the entry I put a mirror with a wreath and a shabby clock.
Now it`s time to move on! Let`s go to our living room. I love white and neutrals so it`s the main color palette in this room. As you can see, in this space, just a few little pops of bold reds bring it all together with the rest of our home.
Few cardinals, red berries and a vintage postcards was just enough to make my tree more alive and joyful.
Of course, there is my Mr. B guitar and sheet music for our cozy nights at home.
If you missed my DIY bling Christmas pillows, you can find the tutorial here.
On the DIY coffee table (you can find the tutorial here) I placed a silver deer with a charm around his neck, more greenery with red berries, star bowl with ornaments, little bell and a antler candlestick.
On the mantel I tried to keep it simple and added only a garland, white ornaments, gray and white satin  ribbons, candles and my angel bell.
Here`s the view of the living room from the hallway.
Here`s the other side of the room with my big vintage Italian armoire, side table with a lanterns and candles.
Another view to the our entry.
Holiday can`t be completed without a presents, so I wrapped just a few for now. There`s so much shopping to do yet.
I wanted a white faux fur tree skirt, but couldn`t find it, so I chose light gray, and I like it.
And that`s it for the part I of the tour. In a few days, in a part II I`ll share our kitchen and dining room.
At Home - Fall Home Tour 2016 - Part 2
Hello lovely people! For those of you who are new to my blog, welcome to the 2016 Fall Tour - Part 2. If you missed Part 1, you can find it here.Today is the part of my home where everything is happening in our family, but also the place where I invite others into our home to enjoy. It can be as simple as a coffee or a drink, or nice diner in the evening. Those of you that know me know that I love fresh flowers in the house. My favorite flowers are roses and peonies, they look so beautiful in a simple white pitcher or glass vase. Another thing a love is a freshly baked bread. We make bread every day with whole wheat flour and rye flour with lots of seeds, like sesame, sunflower seeds, flax, cumin and chia seeds. Recipe is very simple and it`s baked in about an our or so. Flavour of this bread is just amazing and it`s very healthy. Since I eat this bread, instead ordinary bread from grocery, my stomach doesn`t hurt any more. Pair it with some homemade plum jam and mint tea and you have a perfect start of the day!

Zdravo dragi ljudi!
Our dining room is very simple and I like it that way. We are at the table all the time, eating, working, browsing on the internet, so it`s nice to be simple and not overly fancy. Interesting fact is that each time we have people over we end up siting at the table, instead in a living room. People just prefer siting at the table, near kitchen, don`t you agree? Maybe it`t because kitchen is a heart of every home...
That`s it! Thank you for letting me share little snippets of how we like to welcome Fall in our home. Of course we all want to decorate it and make it beautiful, but it’s really about spending more time with family and friends and doing it in a cozy and relaxing way.

At Home - Fall Home Tour 2016 - Part 1
Hi there! Today I wanted to share how I’ve added a little fall style to my house. Anyway, if you're new here, welcome! My name is Vesna! I'm a lawyer, DIY-er, and a writer. I’m a modern traditionalist when it comes to my house and I`m drawn to updated classics in just about everything.
Why At Home Fall tour? Because, when the weather gets cold outside, I prefer to be at home! I adore the smell of freshly baked apple pie with cinnamon, happy movies and good books, and fall is just perfect for all these things.
Inspiration for this fall? Well, a few things actually... The seasonal smells, the pops of color, the patterns and textures.... So, I used some unusual colors this time. Unusual for me...You know me, I`m all about neutrals. But, not this time. My always neutral home has a color injection and now it`s feeling much better. I was inspired by the delicious aubergines, so I use this lovely color and combine it with green and white. Just for additional glam I added animal print and mix metallics.
Enough talking, photos will show you more then words. By the way, this is a tour of my entry and living room. Be sure to check Part 2 of this tour on Thursday to see my dining room and kitchen. Come on in!

Zdravo svima!
When you enter the house, this is a little foyer you arrive into. The black faux leather bench is from Jysk, but I changed the legs and I like it more this way. On the bench I added a blanket and a pillow just to make it more cozy when we get ready to go out. My fall hat is ready for some happy walks in the parks. To make it fall appropriate for the season, I added my DIY pumpkins and some dry foliage. Antlers is there just for decoration and glam purpose, of course!

Now it`s time to go into our family room. For me, fall is simple. Cozy throws, mixed metals, organics greenery, chic accents, pumpkin or two and scented candles.
On my DIY coffee table I added just a simple silver try with some decorative spheres and my DIY pumpkin (I couldn`t find real ones anywhere, so I had to DIY it). Fresh flowers, a candle and a few decorative objects was just enough for me.

Sada vas vodim u obilazak dnevnog boravka. Za mene, jesenja dekoracija je jednostavna. Udobnost, kombinacija metala, sveže zelenilo, šik akcenti, poneka bundeva i mirišljave sveće.
Extra blanket and a pillow, in a woven basket is always on hand by the sofa for chill nights.
Lady on the mantel also got her fur with a brooch just for fun.
Speaking of fun, my bar cart is ready for some fun with friends too!

I hope you enjoyed this little fall peek inside our home. I’ll be sharing a Part 2 on Thursday to get you a little bit more in the fall spirit.

Christmas Home Tour 2015

Hello everyone and welcome to my Christmas home tour!
This year I wanted it to be my kind a story, copper, white and pastel.
So when you come in, you`ll be welcomed with our little Christmas tree and a snowy vignette in a box. Our small flocked Christmas tree is decorated with copper and pastel green, with a glittery star topper.Wooden box is dressed in a faux fur and filled with a fresh and faux branches, battery operated branches for little glow and all kind of pinecones. It`s set up on a small table, with just enough place to put your keys and phone when you come in. On the mirror are two garlands in a matching colors.

Zdravo svima i dobro došli u moj praznični dom!
Drveni sandučić sam "obukla" u veštačko krzno i napunila svežim i veštačkim granama, svetlećim granama za malo sjaja i raznim vrstama šišarki.
In our living room I used white, copper and pastel pink for decorations. To make it more grounded, I have a little bit of black, just to make it less feminine. I didn`t wanted to make it too busy, so my decorations are very simple and very few. We spend most of our time here, so we want it to be simple and cosy. For centerpiece on my coffee table I just made lovely fresh wreath and put a candle in the middle. This way we have enough free space for coffee, tea or book (or to put up our feets :D).

I dressed up my bar card for holidays with a gold ornaments, Christmas tree, glass angel and wrapped presents.
Malo sam doterala i bar za praznike sa zlatnim ornamentima, jelkom, staklenim anđelom i poklonima.
For the Christmas tree skirt I used big faux fur blanket. It`s so good to use things we already have in a new way.
On the mantel I put together a small vignette with a white garland, some ice branches, snowy garland, candlesticks, bottle brush Christmas trees and my dear lady. She`s wearing a small green crown to look more special.
My favorite room this year is definitely our dining room! It looks like enchanted forest with this big garland full of fresh greenery and two big willow trees. I spruced up my garland with antlers, add few willow branches and it looked so masculine. To soften it, I added lovely glass ornaments and crystal snowflakes on the mirror.
For centerpiece on dining room table I put together fresh greenery and flowers in a DIY milk glass vase and adorned it with pastel pink ornaments on a mirrored tray. Finally I put everything on a big silver tray and call it a deal. Of course, bottle of champagne in a festive pastel pink packaging was just perfect for this setting.
For this romantic holiday table setting I used my white plates with a gold border and silver cutlery and adorned it with just a fresh greenery.
Za ovaj romantični svečani sto koristila sam bele tanjire sa zlatnom obodom i srebrni escajg i sve ukrasila jednostavnim borovim grančicama.

Pretty presents makes everything a little more fun and cute.
Lepo upakovani pokloni svakako doprinose da sve izgleda veselije i lepše.
Since a deer become kind of a theme in our dining room, this guy find it`s way to a cabinet with some candlesticks and another lantern. This little guy you see in the middle is actually a DIY project on the wooden heart I had from last year. Another two on top of the shelf is another DIY glitter silhouette project.
I even baked my first Christmas cookies this year. This butter cookies in a shape of Christmas trees and snowflakes are so cute and tasty with a hot chocolate or tea.
Čak sam ispekla i prve ovogodišnje Božićne kolačiće.
To go with a theme in the kitchen too, I added just a few simple details, like little greenery in a pitcher and a snowflakes.
My all year around wreath find it`s place under the hood and Noel sign on top of cupboard.
Pretty deer painting seems to be perfectly right for the kitchen and the theme. This salt and paper shakers was too cute to pass them so I had to buy them.
Malo zelenila i par pahulja.
Finally, we wish you a Marry Christmas and many happy memories with your family and friends!!
