Welcome

Home and Garden Thursday
I hope you all had a blessed Father’s Day. We surely did. We all gathered here for dinner enjoying one another’s company. Dearest and I are so thankful for our three children. It was a Delight to share the day with them, our Son-in-Law and my in-laws. I thank God for my Dear Husband – he’s a wonderful Godly man, husband and father.
Last week I shared with you my decision making process, the things I considered when I finally decided on and purchased my new DSLR camera.
I had a few brief hours Monday morning of sunlight – between rainshowers. I took advantage of the sweet, cool morning air and had tea beside the reseeded Morning Glory in my garden.
I loved a picture I saw on Pinterest of a birdbath decorated with candles. I created my own version in the westside garden – love the fragrance of the candles mingled with the Gardenias.
French Impressions Part II – I made homemade Chalk Paint to transform the bed in our bedroom – all part of an inspiration by a photo in one of Betty Lou Phillips’ books.
Here are the Features from last week’s party:
Carolyn at Aiken House nad Garden shared this amazing White Garden tea in her ‘Martha’s Garden’. Carolyn has an amazing garden on Prince Edward Island – and she has written a lovely book/magazine – filled with pictures from her home and garden
At Fairy Cottage and Garden, our dear Lady of the Woods shared an amazing recipe for Lemongrass Limeade – I can imagine just how delicious and refreshing this summery drink is!
Vesna at Home Chic Club has such talent and a beautiful eye for all things lovely and Shabby Chic. She transformed this wine bottle into something exquisite.
For her garden tea, Gina, at Victorian Wanna Be, set a gorgeous table and made this beautiful cake. In her post she also shared her lovely garden flowers.
Darlene at Maria’s Antoinette set a gorgeous table in May for Mother’s Day – love her collection of dishes, the hat, the gloves and the amazing food -
Susan at Through My Porch Window shared an elegant picnic in the pasture – loved it! The tablesetting is so gorgeous!
It took me to the last featured post to realize you all must be dreaming of spending time outdoors – shut in by the rain like me?! These examples are marvelous ways to enjoy the summer sunshine – I hope today finds it shining in your part of the world. It looks iffy here at A Delightsome Life.
I truly appreciate you stopping by! It means the world to me! Have a Delightsome day!
