Homemade Hand Cream Recipe

DIY Hand Cream
Every winter I have a big problem with the sensitive skin on my hands.  Because of the cold, I`m  suffering from dryness, painful cracks, and redness and my hands looks and feels bad.
I tried so many store both products, but it was not getting any better. A few months ago I made my DIY all natural body scrub and I loved it. So, I decided I`m going to make my homemade hand cream. Natural & Organic!! This is also a very frugal way to treat yourself, or someone you love!
After a quick research, few of the ingredients proved to be a winning combination. Here`s what I found.
Coconut oil
is antibacterial and antifungal, and an excellent moisturizer. It can penetrate hair better than other oils, supports healthy skin and can replace all those expensive (and possibly very bad) beauty products.
Almond oil
can easily penetrate deep into the skin, softening and dislodging the dirt and debris accumulated in the skin pores.
Olive oil
is packed with anti-aging antioxidants and hydrating squalene, making it superb for hair, skin, and nails.
Beeswax
forms a protective barrier on the skin that helps protect it from environmental assaults, while also holding in moisture and reducing dryness.
Cocoa butter
rich in Vitamins E, K, & Phytosterols, Cocoa Butter is fantastic to hydrate & soothe the skin, improve skin tone & elasticity, keeping the skin young & healthy.
Honey
is naturally anti-bacterial and antimicrobial, and also can help regulate skin pH, helping with healing and regeneration our skin. It can help increase moisture in the skin and reduces dryness, even after being washed off.

About essential oils: You can add something simple and classic, like lavender or vanilla. Here are some other oils really good for dry skin: Geranium, Frankincense, Myrrh, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Palmarosa & Roman Chamomile.
DIY Hand Cream

Ingredients:

· 60ml. or 1/4 cup coconut oil
· 60ml. or 1/4 cup almond oil
· 60ml. or 1/4  cup olive oil
· 75 gr. or 5 tablespoons beeswax (if it`s in one piece, grate it)
· 1 tablespoon cocoa butter
· 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
· 10-20 drops of essential oil
·  glass jar with lid

Instructions:

1. Combine everything except for the honey in a double boiler, and stir the mixture until everything is completely melted.

2. Whisk in the honey and add 10-20 drops of the essential oil of your choice (this step is optional) and immediately pour into a glass jar.

3. Allow it to harden completely on room temperature before testing. It will took several hours, but DO NOT put it in a fridge, it will ruin the texture of the cream. Apply this homemade hand cream to your dry hands as often as needed.

p.s. If it`s to thick or to soft, you can remelt it and add either more beeswax or more oil until the desired texture is reached.
DIY Hand Cream
My hands are much better now, soft and smooth, I don`t feel dryness any more, even when I`m out and about without my gloves. If you decide to try it (which I truly recommend) please let me know if it helped you solve the problem with your dry hands.
