I always look forward to go to our little country house in a village near Belgrade, which is called the White Stream. Determinated to finish painting the kitchen cabinets doors, I picked all I need.But the day was too nice to spend it in painting... So we decided to make a little trip up the highest mountain near Belgrade called Avala.
We visited the monument dedicated to the Russian military delegation - the generals who died in a plane crash 19.10.1964., than a monument of the Unknown Soldier, the work of famous serbian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic dedicated to unknown Serbian heroes from the World War One. Finally we went to the Avala tower. Elevator take us to the top where we enjoyed the breathtaking views of the beautiful area.

Uvek se radujem odlasku u naš mali letnjikovac nadomak Beograda u selu koje se zove Beli potok. Odlučna da završim farbanje vrata kuhinjskih elemenata, sve sam poletno spakovala i otišla. Ali, dan je bio i previše lep da se provede u farbanju. Zato smo odlučili da napravimo mali izlet do Avale.
Usput smo posetili spomenik posvećen ruskoj vojnoj delegaciji - generalima koji su poginuli u avionskoj nesreći 19.10.1964.godine, spomenik Neznanom junaku, delo poznatog srpskog skulptora i vajara Ivana Meštrovića posvećeno neznanim srpskim junacima iz Prvog svetskog rata.
Na kraju smo otišli do tornja na Avali, liftom se popeli na vrh i uživali u prekrasnom pogledu na okolinu Beograda. Predivan četvrtak, zar ne?
