Free Printable: Summer Bookmarks For Him & Her

Free Printable: Summer Bookmarks
One of the things I love to do on holiday is reading books. I adopted the slower pace on the beach years ago, and one of the things that always helps me relax is a good book. I’m old school and I like turning pages of paperback or hardcover books, so I rarely buy a digital version. I like having my favorites with me, but also some fun books for carefree "mode".

My husband is also a book lover (probably even more than me), and we are always short on bookmarks (we are always losing them...), so I designed some new watercolor versions for him and her. Summer themed bookmarks seemed an appropriate subject for this time of the year.
Hers are in watercolor flowers, which I personally love. These are timeless and you can use them all year long,
His are really dedicated to men who loves to travel and loves outdoor activities, like fishing for example. Lovely, but manly at the same time.
Free Printable: Summer Bookmarks
There are two ways to print: at home using your own home printer, print the Single Sided Summer Bookmarks for him & her PDF. I recommend using cardstock if you have it so they’re more substantial in weight.

But you can also print them as a two sided copy if you like that more.

If you want your bookmarks to be two sided, you can print it at home or opt for some printing site or shop to print them for you. It`s easier and it`s really inexpensive.

Download the Double Sided Summer Bookmarks for him & her PDF from this website and save it to your computer, tablet, or phone, then upload the document to a local printing site. Weather you order it or print it yourself,  make sure you choose a double sided document and cardstock.
You can also laminate them. They will last much longer and you can give them away as a gifts. Print more than one to give away as gifts or to keep on hand to mark pages in your planner or recipes in cookbooks.

Summer-Themed Printable Monthly Planners {Free Printables}

Summer is upon us, so I decided to create a set of summer-themed printable monthly planners for my free printables blog series.

Summer-Themed Printable Monthly Planners {Free Printables}

Summer-Themed Printable Monthly Planners {Free Printables}

I don’t know about you, but my productivity tends to go down in the summer. With the gorgeous weather beckoning us to join in on all of those fun outdoor activities, I find it hard to keep on top of all the details involved with managing our family and home. Oh, and there’s also those not so fun work-related tasks that need to get done!

Although I use my planner to keep track of my To Do’s, I thought it might be helpful to create a monthly planner to see exactly what I need to tackle in both my personal and work life at the beginning of each month during the summer. I like the idea of capturing all of this information as a monthly snapshot on a single piece of paper that I can use as a blueprint for each month.

The Monthly Planner allows you to capture the following information in one convenient place:

  • your top 3 goals to accomplish each month
  • important dates to remember (birthdays, holidays, events, etc.)
  • major expenses that you’ll incur that month (so that you can plan your finances accordingly)
  •  tracking your progress on any habits you’re working on (e.g., exercise, water intake)
  • miscellaneous notes and reminders
  • an end-of-summer countdown

I included the end-of-summer countdown to help me remember to schedule out the activities on my summer fun “bucket list” before it’s too late. While it’s important to be productive during the summer months, it’s equally important to enjoy the season with your family and friends as much as possible!

The prettier the printable, the more likely we will want to use it, right? So I created two gorgeous summer-themed planners for you to choose from — a pink version and a blue version! I had to think about my mail readers too, right?

HOW TO USE YOUR SUMMER-THEMED PRINTABLE MONTHLY PLANNERS:

1. Download your free Summer-Themed Monthly Planner Printable and save it on your desktop.

2. At the beginning of July & August, print out a copy onto a standard A4 piece of paper using a standard ink jet printer.

3. Use your monthly planner to be intentional about the month ahead!

I hope you find these summer-themed printable monthly planners to be useful. Wishing you a productive & fun rest of the summer.

Oh, and be sure to check out my collection of free printables designed to help you get organized and be productive!

7 Useful Tips To Help You Choose the Right Eyeglass Frames

When purchasing a pair of prescription eyeglasses online, it can be very difficult to find an ideal glasses frame. Although eyeglasses Try-On APP can help to easily find a glasses frame suitable for your face shape, an ideal glasses frame can still be hard to find since more factors are involved, including dimensions of the glasses frame, comfortableness, skin color, age, career and others. Please refer to the following 7 useful TIPs to locate your favorite frame style.

1. Face shape

No matter you have an oval face, square face, round face, triangle face, diamond face or heart-shaped face? We have prepared a detailed guidance to help you enhance your appearance by finding you ideal frames, here: How to pick the right glasses for your face shape

2. Frame dimensions

Dimensions of the frame are labeled on legs of glasses. For example, 54口18-135 means that the lens width size is 54mm, the nose bridge size is 18mm, and length of the glasses leg is 135mm.
TIPs
1) Specifications of glasses legs are more important, since incorrect sizes can cause wrong lens angle or glasses slipping from the nose.
2) Too tight or too loose frames can both cause uncomfortable wearing experience. Too tight frames can squeeze the temples; too loose ones can cause the glasses dropping down.
3) The frame width should match the distance between pupils. Please make sure that pupils are in the middle of lenses on the glasses frame. So how do you know your PD? Please refer to this article: How to Measure Your PD(Pupillary Distance)

3. Matching of frame color and skin color
The frame color should match your skin color to enhance your appearance just as the way it does to your face. This is more important than your hair color and more decisive than your eye color.
If your bottom skin color contains yellow, aeneous or golden, frames in light gray, brown, golden or honey color, beige and olive green will suit well.
If your skin contains pink or blue bottom color, please select silver, black, dark grey, pink, purple, blue, fuchsia and grey frames.

4. Choose a suitable frame according to ages
The glasses frame should be light for children and the nose pads should be lower. Since the nasal bone of a child is still not mature and changes fast during the process of growth, glass frames should be equipped with hangers. Plastic frames are recommended for school children; metal glasses frames are not recommended since nose pads on them can easily cause skin allergies and put pressure on the nasal bone.
The young should choose their glasses frames based on pupil distances, faces and nose bridges. The frame should also match the skin color and hair color to highlight the temperament and demeanor of young men. Generally speaking, young women prefer slim, elegant titanium glasses and cat-eye glasses with bright colors; young men prefer mixed-material glasses with straightforward structures and dark colors.
The elderly should choose upon actual demand. Since the elderly often use glasses to read books or newspapers, full-frame glasses are more convenient no matter for long or short distance.

5. Matching of glasses and the hair style
Bangs(also known as a fringe) – upper border of the glasses should not contact with the front hair; curly hair – the glasses frame should not be too large so as to avoid contacting with the hair.

6. Matching of glasses and clothes
You can also choose the frame style according to your temperament. In general, there are three types: harmonious – matching by adopting the same tone; contrast – choosing warm or cold tones to set off; decorative – adopting striking frame colors to decorate your clothes.

7. Glasses suitable for various kinds of scenarios
It is important to choose a pair of glasses matching your personality and the specific scenario. Wearing small, delicate semi-rimless glasses on formal occasions makes you elegant and efficient; wearing popular browline glasses during leisure or gathering scenarios is both young and fashionable; of course, you can also choose polygon glasses according to your preference to enter some personal parties and gatherings.
After finding your favorite glasses frame according to 7 TIPs above, you need to learn how to read your prescription next. Then you can choose the suitable type of prescription glasses and lens coating, and only these two factors are the most important factors to improve your wearing comfort.

The Ultimate Packing List and Tips

Wishing for an endless summer? Here’s your ultimate packing list and guide to paradise. A complete summer packing list for the coast or pool, amongst my favorite sunny destinations and tips how to pack like a pro!
P I N  T H I S  F O R  L A T E R!!
Since travel season is already started, I`m thinking it`s the best time to share some of my best packing tips and my Ultimate Packing List, which you can download at the end of the post.
First of, tips for packing , which I sorted in a few categories.
Categori N0 1:
Necessities
In this category I will put everything I should never forget, because without them, I can`t go anywhere. These are: passport (visa), ID, credit card/s, money, boarding pass/ticket, directions, medications (if you taking some regularly).
Since these are so important, I always want to keep the near me during the trip, so I pack them in my handbag or backpack (depending which one I carry with me). For the editional help to  myself, I like to put my passport and boarding pass/ticket in a separate pouch so I can find them very easy and quick (rather than digging through my bag for about 10 minutes while everyone is rolling their eyes).
For the money, I also have my own hack. I always split my cash and keep it in a different spots (some of it I`ll keep in my handbag, some in a carry on bag and some in my pocket in a small wallet). This is just in case something unexpected happened - this prevents me from situation to have no money left on me. Also, I never carry a lot of money with me, I like to leave it on my card and use it that way.
Category N0 2:
Clothes
When speaking of clothes, my biggest tip is how to pack/fold your clothes so it takes a less space in your suitcase. I like to use "file system", which means to fold and pack my clothing like a files in a drawer. I fold everything in a rectangle shape, trying to make it the same height as my suitcase. Then I pile on everything together and lay it on the bottom of the suitcase. This system saves a lot of space and also enables to see all your thing at a glance.
Additional tip is to prepare in advance your outfits for each day and take a photos with your phone. Once you are on your destination, you will have finished looks for every day and you can be ready to go in 5 minutes.
For my underwear I use zip lock bags or pouches and "file" them the same way as my clothing. My shoes are also in separate zip lock bags, so they don`t have a contact with my clothing.
Last tip is to always wear your sweaters, jackets, hat and other bigger pieces on the plane/bus/train. This will save you a lot of space in your suitcase, and also they are really comfortable to wear.
Category No 3:
Toiletries
This category is one of the hardest to pack, because of different shapes and sizes, but my pouch system is again a big help. I like to categorize products like cleaning products, skin care or hair products in different pouches so I can easily find what I`m looking for.
Also I always save all the sample products during the year and bring them with me when I`m traveling. They are small, compact and easy to pack. If I don`t have any, I will transfer small amount in a travel bottles which can be found in any drugstore.
Category N0 4:
Tech
This category is also a hard to pack, because of shapes and fragility. This is why I leave it for the end of my packing, because most of them I carry on with me in a backpack or big tote bag. The stuff I don`t need with me, I just tuck between my clothing so it doesn`t get damaged during the travel. I also like to wrap it in my socks or scarves to additionally secure them.
Category No 5:
Misc & Personal
This category contains all the other things I carry with me on travel, like hair ties and clips, paper and pen, first aid kit, insect repellant, belts, jewellery etc. I usually pack them in small zip lock bags because they are clear and don`t take up a lot of space. This category also contains books, magazines and any other personal things I need. This things I usually pack in a second half of my suitcase, together with my toiletries.

I`m using a packing list for years, because it makes process of preparing for the trip so much easier then to have it all in my head or on numerous lists and notes. It`s also great if you need to check if you already have everything you need, or have to go shopping (like me, hahaha).
So, without further ado, here is my Ultimate Packing List for you to download and use every time you travel. It`s on 3 pages in total and it will give you the only packing list you`ll ever need! I also included "Other" category - free space for you to add things you need, so it can be customizable to your needs.
Hope you`ll like it and find it helpful!
