A cozy simple home decorated for fall with touches of golden yellow, wood tones, antique finds, enhanced with texture though pillows, blankets and baskets.
I`m so excited to welcome you to this year`s Fall Home Tour! Once again it`s time for crisp weather, cozy sweater and fall decor. Since I`m just arrived from trip to Greece, I`ve been working like crazy to pull things together at home.
I hope this will give you some inspiration for your home.
Every year I have a different inspiration for my seasonal decor. This time I was inspired with nature and it`s beauty. I incorporated beautiful fall colors with my neutral color palette, adding just a touch of gold and copper.
FALL LIVING ROOM
When adding touches of fall I always say start at the coziest space in our home—the fireplace mantel. I wanted it to look simple, so I added candles, fall DIY art print, white pumpkins, branches with flowers and call it a day.
For the rest of our living room, when I start adding autumn decor, my mind started thinking about texture. A nice cozy knit blanket, soft pillows, a few branches with turning leaves and a natural textiles like linen, wool or jute.
I didn`t want to add too much fall decor, just a pumpkin or two, so room can still look nice and airy, but cozy and worm.
FALL KITCHEN
As I mentioned before, color scheme for my home is the warm tones of fall - the beautiful colors that nature produces during the season. I love adding golden yellow, copper and little bit of amber tones with a little pops of green or even navy. On the cabinet a added a gold tray with white and creamy pumpkins and a gold sconces. Above the cabinet is a wooden shelf I used to display my vintage horse figurine and beautiful lamb ears in a pitcher.
The rest of the kitchen is very simple, with a minimal decor since I cook there every day and really don`t want fall decor to be on the way.
Wooden horse you see on the shelf appears again in the kitchen, because I just loved the pop of amber color and the shape of it. I find them in an antique store few years ago, but I never really use them before. It`s funny how some things need time to make their way in our home...
I particularly love copper accents in the fall. They bring so much warmth in the space. This teapot I found in a local store and I just had to bring it home.
FALL DINING ROOM
Since we use this space every day, I didin`t want to crowd the table with a lots of decorations.
Silver vase filled with branches with turning leaves in yellow and copper tones was just enough to make the space feel like autumn is here.
On the other hand, I used our bar cart to decorate with more seasonal items, like this cute flower arrangement in a ceramic pumpkin, or beautiful lamb ears in a pot and a natural pumpkin. Gold and copper appears in other details to tie in the whole space.
Do you decorate for fall? Let me know in the comments, I would love to see your home decorated for the season. If you’re in the mood for more fall goodness take the Fall Tour last year, where I decorated with my home with navy and a DIY Fabric Pumpkins.
