Autumn Is Here - Fall Home Tour 2018

Happy Fall everyone! Autumn is finally here and so is my Fall Home Tour. Before we get into my home decorated for fall, I must explain why my tour is so late this year. Last couple of weeks we were painting our walls, trying to finish it while the weather is still nice and worm. It`s not done yet, so don`t judge my unfinished home (I still have to paint doors, windows, some of my furniture pieces etc.), but for now this will work. Hope everything will be nice and finished before Christmas, so I can show you the finished house with all the changes I have in mind. So, stay tuned for that and subscribe, so you never miss a new post or a free printables I often share here on the blog.

Now, without a further ado, let`s get started and welcome to our home! Blue and white theme for this year was inspired with a beautiful fall mornings with a blue sky and white fluffy clouds. 

Entryway console table is new addition to our house. This is a Ikea hack I will share with you very soon. Really affordable, but effective way to get the look of a more expensive piece of furniture! Love it! Underneath is a lovely Paris umbrella holder, also a new edition to the space. It was a great find and I fell in love with it instantly! It goes so well with my blue and white carpet! Basket holds an extra pillows, because you can never have to much pillows, right?! Soon it will be filled with scarves and mittens. 

On the console table I have a big chinoiserie vase, lamp, candles and a small white pumpkin. But, my DIY chinoiserie pumpkin is a real star of the show! She is so cute and I`m so happy how she turned out! 👏 for me! :D I will share tutorial if you`re interested. Let me know in the comments.

In the kitchen I used blue vases to continue with a theme and to showcase this beautiful hydrangeas, because they are so lovely!

On the shelf above china cabinet I have fall inspired basket with faux flowers, faux wheat and a small, fresh pumpkin. I also use fresh seasonal fruit for decor. Easy and inexpensive way to bring seasonal colors in the space.

On the counter you can see more of my chinoiserie vases and bowls with the fresh, crisp apples and plumbs.

In the dining room I set a table in coordinating blue and white, and decorated with more pumpkins and candles. Pumpkins are a last years DIY. You can find the tutorial HERE.

Blue and white theme is continuing in our living room for cohesive look of the house. 

The mantel features the white and blue floral pumpkins, white and creamy ones, along with a faux eucalyptus, pale green brunches and fresh white mums.

To achieve this look use several size pumpkins and place them on the mantel. Tuck in brunches (fresh or faux), nestel some flowers and candles and you are done!

On the end tables I arranged white mums with fresh greenery. Nothing says fall more then fresh mums for me! They are so lovely and the smell fills the room so nicely!

I always use pillows and blankets to change the mood in the room. This season I used the whites, creams and rich blue ones. Throws are also a great way to add a cosy feeling to the space. This lightweight indigo blanket is a very affordable Ikea find.

On the chair I added another blue pillow and a small gold one to tie in all the colors in the room. For the additional layer of warmth I added soft pom pom blankets and a piece of fur on the seat. 

More beautiful hydrangeas on the bar cart. Such a pretty thing to look at while sitting on the sofa!

So, what do you think about my fall home tour? I don`t decorate my whole house, only the main spaces where we spend the most of our time. The other rooms are "fall free", so it doesn`t look overwhelming. I hope this tour will inspire you to welcome Fall into your home with your favorite colors and decor! A Simple and Neutral Fall Home Tour 2017

Welcome to fall at Home Chic Club!

Every time one of those home tours rolls around, I find it hard to believe that another season is upon us. However, if there is one season I’m happy to make room for, it’s fall. With pumpkins, slightly cooler temperatures, colorful leaves and cozy evenings on the couch (bring on the blankets and warm drinks!), what’s not to love?

If you are new to Home Chic Club (HCC), let me extend a heartfelt welcome! My name is Vesna. Here on HCC I share a little bit of everything. From recipes to home decor, to DIY projects and entertaining tips, my goal is to inspire you with simple, quick, and easy ideas.

Now that I’ve introduced myself, let’s begin the tour. If you have any questions, please leave them in comments, I`ll be happy to answer them. 

Let`s start with a entry. It`s a small, narrow space, so I added just a fresh greenery (this plum tree has a most gorgeous deep burgundy leaves).

I also stacked a blanket and two pumpkins in the small basket and that`s it for this small space.

Next is my living room. It’s probably my favorite space in my home. I really love decorating and tweaking this room each season. I chose to stay with my usual favorites, neutrals, this year. I kept the colors simple and neutral as usual.

Swapping out different throws and pillows is a great way to add some cozy style for the fall season. Knitted trows, flannels, tweed, and even faux furs are great options. I wanted this room to stay simple but cozy.

Across the room is the fireplace decorated with my fabric pumpkins, dried basil and hydrangeas.

Since I have a bar cart in the living room, I made it ready for the season with more diy fabric pumpkins, candles and vine. 

Leading to our dinning room is the antique French buffet. I normally just add seasonal greens to the whites, because I love the lines of the buffet and feel simplicity here is just enough to make it perfect. 

Antique buffet makes perfect backdrop for the white dishes, and a few pumpkins are here to say it`s fall. 

On the table an antique trophy filled with fresh greens works as a centerpiece. I cut some bush stems from my yard that are just starting to turn color! I love fall because I can cut so many things and bring them inside! And fresh fruit is always perfect addition.

Again, I opted for something less traditional in terms of fall colors. I focused on whites and grey.
In the kitchen, I kept things simple. Since I cook here every day, I wanted it to stay free of decorations. 

On the shelf I updated one of my frames with a new print for another personal touch. This is a simple DIY, just to add a fun element to everything. Of course, I had to have a beautiful white mums here. Somehow they always make me smile when I`m entering the kitchen. So nice!
