Homemade Hand Cream Recipe

DIY Hand Cream
Every winter I have a big problem with the sensitive skin on my hands.  Because of the cold, I`m  suffering from dryness, painful cracks, and redness and my hands looks and feels bad.
I tried so many store both products, but it was not getting any better. A few months ago I made my DIY all natural body scrub and I loved it. So, I decided I`m going to make my homemade hand cream. Natural & Organic!! This is also a very frugal way to treat yourself, or someone you love!
After a quick research, few of the ingredients proved to be a winning combination. Here`s what I found.
Coconut oil
is antibacterial and antifungal, and an excellent moisturizer. It can penetrate hair better than other oils, supports healthy skin and can replace all those expensive (and possibly very bad) beauty products.
Almond oil
can easily penetrate deep into the skin, softening and dislodging the dirt and debris accumulated in the skin pores.
Olive oil
is packed with anti-aging antioxidants and hydrating squalene, making it superb for hair, skin, and nails.
Beeswax
forms a protective barrier on the skin that helps protect it from environmental assaults, while also holding in moisture and reducing dryness.
Cocoa butter
rich in Vitamins E, K, & Phytosterols, Cocoa Butter is fantastic to hydrate & soothe the skin, improve skin tone & elasticity, keeping the skin young & healthy.
Honey
is naturally anti-bacterial and antimicrobial, and also can help regulate skin pH, helping with healing and regeneration our skin. It can help increase moisture in the skin and reduces dryness, even after being washed off.

About essential oils: You can add something simple and classic, like lavender or vanilla. Here are some other oils really good for dry skin: Geranium, Frankincense, Myrrh, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Palmarosa & Roman Chamomile.
DIY Hand Cream

Ingredients:

· 60ml. or 1/4 cup coconut oil
· 60ml. or 1/4 cup almond oil
· 60ml. or 1/4  cup olive oil
· 75 gr. or 5 tablespoons beeswax (if it`s in one piece, grate it)
· 1 tablespoon cocoa butter
· 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
· 10-20 drops of essential oil
·  glass jar with lid

Instructions:

1. Combine everything except for the honey in a double boiler, and stir the mixture until everything is completely melted.
DIY Hand Cream
2. Whisk in the honey and add 10-20 drops of the essential oil of your choice (this step is optional) and immediately pour into a glass jar.

3. Allow it to harden completely on room temperature before testing. It will took several hours, but DO NOT put it in a fridge, it will ruin the texture of the cream. Apply this homemade hand cream to your dry hands as often as needed.
DIY Hand Cream
p.s. If it`s to thick or to soft, you can remelt it and add either more beeswax or more oil until the desired texture is reached.
DIY Hand Cream
My hands are much better now, soft and smooth, I don`t feel dryness any more, even when I`m out and about without my gloves. If you decide to try it (which I truly recommend) please let me know if it helped you solve the problem with your dry hands.

Fresh Magnolia Wreath DIY

Fresh Magnolia Wreath/Home Chic Club
Fresh Magnolia Wreath/Home Chic ClubDIY Magnolia Wreath
Hello everyone! Today I`m coming at you with another easy DIY #fall project? Seasonal decor is simple and inexpensive when it's collected from your own (or your neighbors) backyard. When it comes to decorating, I`m a big fan of products from nature. They are fresh and full of life. Wreaths are no exception. I like them fresh, imperfect and a little rustic. Just like nature. There is their beauty and charm.
So, go outside, take a walk and gather magnolia leaves to create this beautiful and very popular seasonal wreath. It`s great for fall, but also extremely popular for Christmas!
Materials needed:
Materials:
80-100 fresh magnolia leaves
florist wire
wire cutters
straw wreath form or grapevine wreath
Tutorial:
1. Gather & Arrange Leaves
Pull all the good leaves from the branches and sort leaves into three piles by size: small, medium and large.
Collect 3 leaves in a bunch, holding them by the stems. If working with leaves of varying sizes, arrange smaller leaves in front and larger leaves in back or alternate the other way around, like I did .
2.Wrap Bunches
Cut a piece of florist wire and wrap tightly around stems of leaf bunches to secure.
3. Tie Bunches to Wreath
Before you start attaching leaves to your wreath form, make a small hanging loop out of a thicker wire and twist it around the top of your wreath form to secure. It is so nice to have this loop when you go to hang your wreath up!!
Now you can start attaching your leaves to the wreath form. Use longer piece of wire to secure each bunch to the wreath. Twist wire tightly at the back of the wreath to hold bunches in place.
Add remaining bunches, positioning them close together with all stems pointing in the same direction.Step back from the wreath occasionally to make sure it looks full and even. Add more bunches if needed. Continue to tie on bunches until entire wreath is covered, and use as a candle centerpiece or hang as a traditional wreath.
Tip: This fresh magnolia leaf wreath will dry, but it can last about 4-6 weeks. Even when it`s dry, it`s beautiful, but if you don't like the look of the dried leaves, use faux leaves, this way it will last you for years.
And there you have it! Now you can hang it up and take a picture!

Thank you so much for stopping by, wishing you a wonderful day!

Summer to Fall Decor Style/Tips for the Transition

As we begin to leave summer behind and ease into autumn, its time to get inspired with some fall decorating ideas for your home. To be perfectly honest, I’m still in summer mode, enjoying my beautiful flowers and the nice weather, but for me, it`s time to start thinking about fall decor.
Summer to Fall Decor Style/Tips for the Transition
I`m also trying to decide this year’s color scheme. Last year I tried something new for me, colorful decor in green and purple, mixed with my all time favorites, neutrals. If you missed it, you can find my
Fall Home Tour 2016,
Part 1 -HERE and  Part 2 - HERE.
Do you remember this DIY fall wreath from last year? You can see how to made it from scratch  - HERE.
Transitioning from summer to fall isn’t always easy. If you’re between seasonal decor styles and aren’t comfortable adding pumpkins just yet, I’ve got some great tips on how to gradually add autumn touches to your home.

1. Fresh Fruit for Fall
Gathering apples, pears or any other fruit that might be in season in your area is a great way to create a centerpiece for the table. Place them in a rustic receptacle or tray and add some flowers to accompany the setting.
2. New color schemes
Muting the colors in the dining room area is a great way to start transitioning into fall. Try switch to earthly, natural colors instead of sun-bright shades. You can also use black for a more conservative, elegant look with pops of orange or silver accents.
3. Candle Creativity
Whether you prefer using candles as a table centerpiece or over the mantle, these accents will instantly bring a cozy atmosphere to any space. If you are afraid to use candles around your kids, remember you can always use battery-operated ones. Beautiful but safe!
4. Cozy Fabrics
There’s nothing quite like getting all snuggled into bed on cooler evenings. Flannels and knits are wonderful cozy textures that reflect the season and makes you feel warm and relaxed.
5. Personal Touches
Last, but not least, don`t forget to add your own touches with a few quick and easy DIY projects. You don`t have to buy everything, there are so many great ideas online you can incorporate in your home. And you`ll be proud to show them off to your family and friends!
So what do you think? Are you inspired for fall decorating yet and what`s your favorite fall decor? Let me know in the comments below! Thank you so much for stopping by, wishing you a wonderful day!

A Free Printable Calendar April 2017 / Monthly Recap

Welcome to my Monthly Recap! Today is April 3th and I can hardly believe it. Looks like this year is going ahead so fast!
Monthly recap is something new on my blog. I thought it could be interesting both for you and me. Personally, I love to look back a little and remind myself what I`we been doing. For you, it can be a good place to find all the posts you maybe missed during the month.
Past few days was really nice and make me think about spending more time outside. It`s time to clean up our balcony and tidy up my mini garden. Things are a mess right now with all the thing I stored there during the winter. Cleaning it up always seems like a huge and overwhelming task, but, I've found it's easiest to take one step at a time. At the end, it always works out, everything gets done and I get to enjoy beautiful mornings with my cup of coffee there.
Here is a look back at March! Even I was surprised at all the spring inspiration in my posts. Seams to me I`m really ready for the Spring and Easter!

Dobro došli u rekapitulaciju za Mart! Danas je već 03. April i to mi zvuči gotovo neverovatno.
Also, I`m still working on my spring cleaning in the house, trying to make it look good when sun is shining (you know how sun tends to show all the dust and dirt...yeah, not very nice thing to do, but I love sunshine in the house anyway). Best thing is not to worry to much about that, leave dirty windows behind, go outside and enjoy the beautiful spring weather. Spring is only once in the year, so try to be happy every day and make a best of it!

Last, but not least welcome Spring and beautiful April with this cute free calendar!

I hope this recap gets you thinking about spring and in the mood to craft, love and enjoy life! Thank you for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me...xo What`s your favorite March post?

All Natural Body Scrub / DIY

Hello my beautiful friends! For those of you who are new to my blog, welcome and enjoy! My name is Vesna and I`m a full time blogger, blogging about everything home and lifestyle related. Today I want to share some of mine favorite DIY all natural beauty products. Lately I`m trying to use as much natural products as possible, both for me and my home. They are much healthier and cheaper then ones in the stores. And they are equally efficient as store ones, maybe even better.
As I mentioned in this post, spring is upon us and after long, cold winter days, our skin is now very dry and needs some extra care. So, lets prepare it for spring clothes when we are suppose to show a little more skin.
If you know me, you`ll also know how much I love my coffee. Especially in the morning. That beautiful smell of freshly brewed coffee makes me awake and ready for the day! So, I thought that beautiful smell of fresh coffee will be perfect with morning shower. Both great for awaking!
Combine these two and you`ll have all natural DIY coffee body scrub.
Recipe is really easy and you`ll need just a few minutes to make it. Let`s start!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup ground coffee
- 1/2 cup virgin coconut oil (or 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil)
- 1/4 cup granulated brown sugar (or you can use white)
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
Tutorial:
- In a small bawl mix the coffee and sugar,
- Add coconut (olive) oil and mix it until smooth.
- Place in a small jar or other container.

As you can see it`s very easy to make and it should look a little runny, sticky paste. You`ll see that after you scrub your body with it, your skin will be very soft and hydrated. Coconut oil acts like a moisturizer, so if you don`t have a really dry skin, you can completely skip the body lotion.
Extra tip: After using this body scrub, you can shave your legs without a shaving cream too!!The skin will not be irritated and red!
What’s your favourite scrub? Have you ever try any DIY scrub?

Zdravo dragi moji!
Svi koji me poznaju znaju koliko volim kafu.

Sastojci:
- 1/2 šolje mlevene kafe
- 1/2 šolje organskog kokosovog ulja (ili 1/4 šolje organskog maslinovog ulja)
- 1/4 šolje smeđeg šećera (može i beli)
- 1/4 šolje šećera od šećerne trske (demerera)-nije obavezno, možete staviti samo jednu vrstu šećera koju imate

Tutorial:
