These days I have finished several projects in the house that I had planned for some time. First one is the old kitchen table that I brought back from our cottage. It was in a very bad condition with so many stains. But with a fresh coat of Benjamin Moore paint - White Dove, wax, acrylic varnish and some elbow grease any problem can be solved. Quick and easy!
Here is the table before. As you can see it was very basic, but with a potencial.
First I sanded all the parts to smooth the surface and remove the stains. Then I painted the base of the table with a two coats of paint. Before applying the sealer I did lightly sand the base to give it a slightly distressed look.
For the tabletop, I added a two coats of a clear acrylic varnish and my table was looking great!
