Looking for an easy DIY #fall project? Look no further! Here’s a cute and easy way to make fabric pumpkins and decorate your home for the season. Best thing about this project: it can be made of new or old fabric or even a old clothing!
As I said in this post, I use fabric pumpkins in my fall decor every year, but I just realized I never shared how to make them! And they are so fun to make!
Would you like to make some fabric pumpkins too? It’s so easy and you don’t even need a sewing machine!

Materials:
Fabric
Pillow stuffing
needle and thread
hot glue
scissors/ruler
Something for the stem (I used sticks I found outside) and leaves (if you even want a leaf, I don`t...)
Twine, string or yarn to wrap around the pumpkin.
Tutorial:
Cut your fabric into a rectangle, different dimensions will give different size. A standard pumpkin shape would be width = 2 times the height. I wanted various shapes that would complement each other.
Fold your fabric in half, right sides together and hand sew, machine sew or even hot glue the side seam. (I used old pants for this one- perfect that I didn’t have to do an ounce of prep work to it!;D)
Next, sew a wide basting stitch along the bottom of the tube. Gather the bottom up so it is tightly closed and sew a few stitches to secure the bottom.
It should look something like this.
Flip the fabric right side out and stuff your pumpkin. (Tip: to save stuffing, make a hole in the middle and use plastic bags, then put stuffing around, on top and bottom.)
Sew a basting stitch along the top and close it the same way as the bottom.
Pull the top closed and add a few stitches to secure it.
Thread the needle through the entire length of pumpkin (top to bottom) and wrap the twine/string around the pumpkin 4 to 8 times (whatever looks best to you.) Wrap it tightly and tie it off on the bottom. The tension gives the pumpkin the puffiness and better shape.
Add a small amount of hot glue on top of your stem and attach it on the pumpkin.
If you want, add your leaves with a little more hot glue and voilà! A really cute pumpkin! Easy isn’t it?
Now go make a few! Even a no sewer can easily stitch up this pumpkin patch, made of linen, silk, or velvet. Set the sewn pumpkins in a cool autumnal scene and enjoy your good work!

Kao što sam rekla, ovaj projekat je brz i jednostavan i zahteva samo par stvarčica koje verovatno već imate kod kuće.
You`ll need:
1. Piece of plastic (or any material you have on hand)
2. Cute scrapbook paper or fabric
3. Glue or decoupage glue and glue gun
4. Clear varnish
5. Scissors
6. Decorative pom pom ribbon or lace Materijal:
1. Parče plastike (ili drugog materijala koji vam je dostupan)
2. Dezenirani papir ili tkanina
3. Lepak, lepak za dekupaž i pištolj za vrući lepak
4. Providni lak
5. Makaze
6. Dekorativna pom pom traka ili neka druga ukrasna traka (čipka)
Tutorial:
First, apply glue on the plastic (or other material you chose) and glue your scrapbook paper on top and trim the edges.
Apply a coat of decoupage glue on top and let dry.
After everything is completely dry, apply a coat (or two) of clear varnish. Let dry completely.
Finally with a hot glue gun add a decorative trim and your new and cute mouse pad is finished!! How easy was that!?
Tutorijal:
Prvo nanesite sloj lepka (ili lepka za dekupaž) na plastiku, pažljivo zalepite ukrasni papir i izravnajte ga da nema mehurića vazduha. Odsecite makazama višak papira.
Nanesite još jedan sloj lepka za dekupaž preko papira kako bi bio postojan i ostavite da se osuši.
Nakon što je sve suvo, nanesite sloj (ili dva) providnog laka. Ostavite da se potpuno osuši.
Na kraju, uz pomoć vrućeg lepka dodajte dekorativnu traku i vaša nova podloga za miša je gotova! Jednostavno, zar ne!?

This time I’m sharing our kitchen and although I didn’t go overboard with Spring decorating, by just bringing a touch of Spring with a fresh flowers and a few new details, it already feels fresher. Kada je kuhinja u pitanju, trudim se da ne preterujem sa dekorom. Dovoljno je sveže cveće i par detalja pa da prostor deluje osveženo i lepo.
As I said, I really don’t decorate my kitchen that much, because the kitchen at Home Chic Club is the workhorse of my home! I cook, bake and even craft there daily, so I try to keep things simple with just a touch of Spring.
Five years ago the kitchen went through a renovation. Did you know that this renovation was a starting point for the Home Chic Club blog? Yes, when we started this renovation, I wanted to capture the moment and then it come to my mind... Why not share it on the blog? And so it all started, and ends in the kitchen. There we constantly bump to each other, our friends love to chat while I`m cooking and I love to drink my morning coffee. I think, every kitchen has some kind of magic, don`t you agree?
When we started renovation, I knew I want a white kitchen. And I’m really loving our white kitchen, but when Spring comes, I really enjoy a little color. Adding color with fresh flowers, like this gentle lily or gorgeous tulips, is my way of doing it. Beautiful scent also comes in handy, right?
Kao što sam rekla, ne dekorišem kuhinju previše, jer je to moj radni prostor i centar našeg doma. Ovde se kuva, mesi, peče, čak rade i DIY projekti, pa zato volim da sve bude jednostavno, sa tek ponekim dodirom proleća.
Pre pet godina ova kuhinja je prošla kroz veliko renoviranje. A da li ste znali da je upravo to i pokrenulo blog Home Chic Club? Da, kada su krenuli radovi, želela sam da sačuvam te momente i onda mi je palo na pamet da to uradim kroz blog. I tako je sve krenulo, a i završava se u kuhinji. Tu se neprestano sudaramo i guramo, tu naši gosti sa čašom pića vole da ćaskaju dok ja kuvam i tu volim da popijem svoju prvu jutarnju kafu. Mislim da kuhinje poseduju neku vrstu magije, zar ne?
Kada smo odlučili da renoviramo, odmah sam znala da želim belu kuhinju. I dalje uživam u tome, ali kada krene proleće, volim da dodam malo boje u tu belinu. A ima li lepšeg načina da se unese dodir boje u prostor od svežeg cveća poput nežnih zumbula i raskošnih lala? A i predivan miris dobro dođe u kuhinji, zar ne?
These gorgeous yellow tulips are arranged in a small pitcher, next to a cake stand full of fresh lemons. They give me such a pleasure while I`m sitting in a dinning room and looking towards the kitchen. Ove predivne žute lale sam aranžirala u jednostavan mali bokal i smestila pored stalka za kolače punog svežeg limuna. Pravi odmor za oči dok sedim za trpezarijskim stolom i gledam kuhinju.
Fresh fruits, potted herbs or even veggies are not just food, they are also a really inexpensive way to refresh and decorate and they will look great anywhere in the kitchen. I’ve also been craving lighter, healthierfood lately, but I can`t resist to a piece of dark chocolate once in a while. It`s healthy and delicious, so I thought it`s ok to have some. Don`t you agree? I do. Ha, ha... Sveže voće, posađeno začinsko bilje pa čak i povrće nisu samo odlična hrana, već i savršen i jednostavan način da osvežite i dekorišete i izgledaće fantastično gde god da ih smestite u kuhinji. Proleće volim i zbog šarenila na pijacama i mnoštva svežeg voće i povrća. Stvarno se trudim da jedem laganu i zdravu hranu, ali ne mogu da ne odlomim i po koju kockicu čokolade tu i tamo... Kažu da je crna čokolada ne samo ukusna, već i dobra za zdravlje, pa mislim da sam u pravu ako verujem da je sasvim ok da se malo gricne, zar ne? Pa, naravno da sam u pravu. Ha, ha...
I also find this lovely lilac yesterday...they are not in a full bloom yet, so I`ll have to wait a day or two to enjoy in their full beauty. But they are lovely anyway. Juče sam našla i divni, prvi jorgovan... nije još potpuno procvetao, pa ću morati da sačekam dan-dva da uživam u njegovoj punoj lepoti. Mada mislim da je božanstven i ovako.
The other day, I went for a walk and I find these adorable vinegar and oil dispenser in a soft pink tone and I had to brought them home. But, I left behind spaghetti jar and that was bothering me. So, yesterday I went back to pick it up. Much nicer when they are together, right? 😉 Pre par dana sam bila u šetnji i našla ove preslatke dozatore za sirće i ulje u puder roze nijansi i morala sam da ih donesem sa sobom. Ali, nisam uzela teglu za špagete i to me je "strašno" mučilo. Zato sam se juče vratila po nju. Mnogo im je lepše kada su zajedno, zar ne? 😉
Besides this cute pastels, I really love all white dishes. They will help keep my kitchen feeling airy and won’t take away from this gorgeous spring flowers.
Osim ovih pastelnih detalja, u principu najviše volim belo posuđe. Uz njega kuhinja uvek deluje prozračno i lako, a njihova belina samo još više ističe sve nijanse prolećnog cveća.
